Smart Home – KNX
120 m² KNX Smart Maisonette
In this 120 m² maisonette, we implemented KNX automation to make everyday living simpler. Lighting, shutters and scenes come together on easy-to-use controls, while the electric water heater can be switched on from the smart glass keypad. The installation also leaves room for the features the owner plans to add in the future.
Our approach
One touch. Everyday comfort.
Scenes that fit the way you live.
A scene brings several commands together at the touch of a button. Instead of adjusting every light individually, you select the setting you need. In this maisonette, options such as “Dinner” and “TV” make it easy to create the right atmosphere, while “Home” and “Away” scenes bring together everyday actions when arriving or leaving. Fewer steps, greater comfort and no technical knowledge required.
Water heater control from the glass keypad.
The electric water heater can be switched on using the dedicated option on the smart glass keypad. There is no need to go to the electrical cabinet for this everyday task. Control is available where it is convenient, alongside the other functions of the home.
Clear controls for lights and shutters.
The keypads bring lighting and shutter controls together, with symbols and labels that make each function easy to recognise. Dimming on the relevant lighting circuits lets the space adapt to the moment, from daily activities to a relaxed evening.
A finish chosen by the client.
The client selected the keypad frames to match the sockets chosen for the home. Automation therefore becomes part of the overall interior design, with a consistent finish across the details of each room.
Spare cabinet space is a deliberate provision for the future.
Plenty of space has intentionally been left available in the electrical cabinet. The owner plans to expand and upgrade the system, and this requirement was considered from the start. The reserved space makes it easier to add equipment, with appropriate design work for each future step.
A smart home built around real life.
The result is a maisonette where technology serves everyday needs: comfort, straightforward control and thoughtful use of lighting. A practical home today, with infrastructure that leaves room to grow with the people who live in it.
